Excavation Entry Fee

Hello everyone,

 

I would like to suggest to either reduce the Excavation entry fee or make it free if someone has the Transmit Pass.

 

Currently we are required to pay 2.500 Pokedollars to enter each of the Sites. There are 6 Sites you can access before unlocking the rest, so I will count only with them.

That leads to 15.000 Pokedollars a day, 150.000 Pokedollars in 10 days, 450.000 Pokedollars in a month.

 

That is too much in my opinion, and many people are already unmotivated to do excavation that having it as a huge money sink does not help or motivate people to do it.

It kinda feels those Pokemon behind Excavation are hidden behind a paywall too, even tho every Pokemon should be available to get for free.

Also for PvP to unlock the Therian versions we need at least 3000 discoveries, so that means that people who want to PvP with those Pokemon, have to pay?

I mean, most player I talk do don't even have unlocked all of excavations features even tho being veteran and that has nothing to do with the entry fee.

The main reason is it takes time to do it daily and that it isn't as rewarding as other activities in game in terms of time/reward ratio.

 

So if you wanna improve excavation, i'd say either improve the rewards or make it less of a burden to do it.

Reducing the price from 2500 to something like 1000 Pokedollars would be fine with me. So it could still be the monkey sink it needs to be, but at a more reasonable price. Or make some adgjustemt for players who already have the Transmit Pass.

 

Also yes I agree to some addition like Toxapex or other Pokemon that would help the current meta, maybe an overall change of the spawns would also be cool. 

So a new price in addition with better rewards could be the rework excavation needs to have to be alive/more active from players again.

+1 Excavations have remained unchanged for so long. While I don't necessarily agree with reducing the price to enter, a change of spawn would be nice.

Hey,i will try to keep it short. I completely disagree with your suggestion. Entering the excavation sites only costs 2,500 per site, which adds up to around 450,000 a month only if you do every single site every single day. That’s not expensive... thats just the price of doing OPTIONAL daily content in an MMO. This game needs money sinks, otherwise the prices would get even more out of control than they already are. There are tons of players sitting around with  insaaane amounts of money and removing one of a few consistent monrysinks would just cause the market to get ruined. 

You’re playing a Pokémon MMO!! dont forget that this means grinding, long times and a lot of patience for progression, and yes, spending some ingame money to unlock things like cerulean cave or whatever. If you think 450k per month for daily content is “too much” then you are probably playing the game wrong or just sleep somewhere on the map all the time. Getting poorer the more you play is not the normal game progression. It means you need to overthink  how you spend your time and money ingame, not just ask for everything to be cheaper. The game is not the issue here in my opinion, sorry if it sounds a little harsh.

 

I had to giggle a bit when i read about the  “pay to PvP” part because of Therian forms You dont need Therians to play PvP. (even tho the normal force of nature pokemons aren't that good in the current meta) You can eeeeasily 100% reach 3000 discoveries in around 25 days... and that’s not mandatory it’s an extra. You’re not being locked out of PvP you’re just not given everything with just a minimum or not even a single effort.

 

For the other comments  i totally agree that rewards from excavation could need a reword but the entry fee is totally fine. Honestly I wouldnt even mind if it was a bit higher if the rewards get better. People always want everything for free and then complain when there is nothing to do. This is a game that (MOSTLY) rewards effort, not shortcuts and lazyness. If you’re not willing to grind, maybe this just isn’t the right game for you. Hope you understand my point and see you in excavation.
