Check Latest Pokemon ID Number

Featured Replies

Hello I just want to ask, is there a way to check the latest pokemon id number? because im doing the megazard y quest and I need to catch a charmander. The charmander should be caught after talking to professor oak which i just did now. But im planning to buy from someone and would like to buy the one that will work.

Hello @Mizki. Please accept my apologies for the late response.

The short answer is no, there is no way for players to check the last ID number. However, after speaking with Professor Oak, you can immediately go to Route 1 and catch a random Pokémon to then use as comparison for any Charmander you purchase. If the ID of the Charmander is lower than your newly caught Pokémon then it is more than likely that it is too old and therefore inadmissible for Oak. But, if the ID is higher, then it is very clearly a newer Charmander and so Oak will accept it.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any further questions.
