Hi, I have a problem. This is the third time I’ve tried to get the Mega Stones for Sharpedo and Camerupt, but during the final phase (The race). I keep encountering wild Pokémon, which makes it difficult to finish. If I use Repels, the NPCs disappear and I basically lose instantly. I’ve watched videos from multiple sources, and none of them seem to encounter wild Pokémon during the final phase, and they don’t need to use any Repels either. I’m not sure if this is a bug, but it seems like one to me. I’m trying to collect all the Mega Stones, and so far these two are the only ones that have given me trouble. I’d really appreciate a response, thanks to anyone who takes the time to read and reply.

Could you explain this a bit further and possibly attach screenshots?

Thats because in the past this area did not have any spawnable pokemon but with a past update they were added.

 

To help a bit with the quest as a whole make sure to avoid the Gyarados and Sharpedo to save time. Stay on the water and dont go on land.
Make sure to OHKO every pokemon you have to battle. Also disable the battle animations and maximize the dialogue-speed in your options to save even more time.
