I was mid quest when the reworked happened with the Transmat quest. I defeated all of the Grunts and got the remote to gain access to fight the boss Lt Surge (was not planning on going any further until now). After the change, I am now unable to go beyond Lt Surge as there is an electric barrier that is blocking my way. There are no grunts in the lower area and there is no sign if Wattson in the Mauville City Pokecenter to even being the quest (starting over). Please help!!

You don't have to beat lt surge

Apologies for the inconvenience caused by this. This occurs due to faulty variables in the quest after some changes were made to it.

 

We have checked and the Hoenn Teleport quest here seems to be definitely bugged for you, hence you'd need to wait for us to fix the quest itself for you to proceed further. 

 

I will be letting you know about any developments on that as soon as possible.

A fix was recently applied and you should be able to proceed normally if you re-enter that place from route 110 according to the updated guide over on our wiki.
