Probably he traded it from Haunter so he can evolve him to Gengar , but the thing is , you need someone you can trust to do it. Hope you screenshotted the trade otherwise I think there is nothing anyone can do for you :( Next time I suggest trade with someone you trust or look for tradepartners here in forum or whatsoever. You never know when someone could have a misdeed, and having the screenshots will ensure that these players can get the appropriate punishments. Be polite and patient if you need support. While users with the symbols +, % and @ are the chat staff, they are not necessarily also game staff, but they can usually advise you.
