In that realm you have to team up with Munna, I failed the battle. Then I was taken out of the castle. However, I couldn't get back into the castle to redo the quest.

Hello,

You have to fight Horon at Dark Valley (top of Necropolis) without a pokemon fainting. And you will be able to back in dark realm.

Hey there, as Mysticwind mentioned, all you need to do is to beat Horon without a pokemon fainting. It might require you a lot of strategy but it is definitely possible. Let us know if you need further assistance.
