What have you done before the problem was there?

I was in Cerulean City and I talked with a sergent who asked me help and then talked about a evee but my team was full. I looked in Bill's box at the pokemon centre but evee there wasn't. Will I have evee after I helped the police or I lost it?

 

What have you already tried to solve the problem?
