Ball Customisation

Featured Replies

Note: If this suggestion has already been made at any point during PRO’s lifetime, I apologise in advance and feel free to disregard it.

We already have the IV and nature reroll tickets, items that directly affect a Pokémon’s performance, but what about a feature that allows players to change the Ball a Pokémon is in?

This would be a cosmetic option, but one that many players could appreciate. Some players catch rare forms with their OT and grow attached to using that specific Pokémon in PvP or PvE. Having the ability to match their favourite Pokémon with their favourite ball would be a nice finishing touch. While it’s certainly not a high-priority feature, it feels like a thoughtful addition.

Regarding the economy, I don’t believe this would have a major negative impact if it were priced appropriately. If changing a Pokémon’s ball required a premium cost, such as a CC, 100 coins, or something similar, it likely wouldn’t reduce overall ball sales in a significant way. In fact, it could even encourage players to be more deliberate about which ball they use when catching in the first place. As long as this remains a paid, non-cheap luxury rather than an easy or free option, it shouldn’t disrupt the ball economy.

If needed, this feature could even be restricted to the OT to preserve additional value and fairness, though personally, I think it would be nice to have it generally available.

Overall, it’s a small, optional cosmetic feature rather than a necessity, but one that many players might appreciate for their most loved Pokémon as part of their long-term journey in the game. A small, optional feature, but one that could spark a "Ball Revolution" in Pokémon Revolution Online.

I wouldnt disagree on this opinion but kinda unwanted since developers have a lot of important things to do .

I wanted this almost since the different balls are shown.

One day, I even asked Wally if it's possible to change that somehow but didn't get an answer 😕

Hey, it came up a few times and as much as I like the idea personally, it would devalue special pokeballs completly as you could just purchase/collect a single one when needed instead of needing multiple on hand when hunting. Players are wanted to actually own and throw the pokeballs they want to have their pokemon in.

Greetings~

I understand your point and you are right about the devaluation if it would be a free thing. But what if you also put a fee on it, which makes it worth more to hunt with the special balls instead of just changing for free? F.e. 500k per change -this would be around 100 - 150 special balls

This would also remove a bit of the money from the game, if it will be used much
