I apologize for the issues you are experiencing.

 

In the past, if you were to lose to Jackson you would need to return to Pallet Town and speak with Jackson's mom. That is no longer the case, and you should be able to proceed north of Viridian City into Route 2. If you are unable to do so, could you provide screenshots of what is keeping you from going into Route 2?
