Hiya there, so I just joined the game and site and all, and I know it says not to ask about the server status or it will be locked instantly, but I do have one question dealing with the server itself.

 

So in-game, I had just received my starter Pokemon and went to go to Mom's House to speak to her and checked the Cubchoo for the Dex Entry and the game stopped letting me move at all. I could pull up the menu but that is it. (Not sure if that is a bug or not, being that it is still a BETA.) Anyways, so I waited a moment, thinking my laptop was lagging, and the game server closed, taking me back to the main login screen. Again, thinking my laptop was a bit slow, I decided to restart it and waited a moment until I pulled up the main screen once more. This time telling me it can't connect to the server at all. Is this normal, or is it a problem with my laptop? Just curious is all. Sorry if this goes against the server status rule, feel free to lock it if it does. ;;'

Hello, it is not your laptop, or a problem with the server. Sadly we do not get messages before the GM's decided to take down the server to patch new content/fix bugs.

So basically the server is currently under maintenance and there's no warning or info about it? xD

Well that would make complete sense, wish I would of actual took a moment to think then. xD Thanks so much. I'll just try it again later on or something to see if it is up or not.~

Yes, and at times you will be in the middle of a battle/event such as e4 when disconnected, you will default to lose. Which is a pain since elite four is only once a 24 thing. Be aware of such events, when server is lagging they will also take it down to fix server lag ect.

Is there any thread or area on-site where I can find an "upcoming updates" or a time when the server will possibly be down?

As far as we know, there is no such system in place. As a community we would like to have notification, though does not seem that will happen in any time in the future. As you stated before, this is a Beta phase. As players we would love to have notifications, though not relevant to the testing.

Ah, alright. A "Minor Updates" thread would be quite handy on letting us know what is being done to improve the site and or game. Well thank you so much for the information!~ :Shy:

No problem, it is what we do in team rescue. To help the community, our guild is always on the help chat incase you ever get stuck and need information. As for your statement about a minor thread, they have service announcement implemented into chat, wouldn't hurt them to send a service announcement 2 minutes beforehand lol xD o.o well I don't know the details about that lol. After maintenance will it be past version 90? Or will i not have to redownload the client?
