We have bikes, we have mounts (for donating and unlocking). we don't need this.

 

also FYI in the near future we will also have different coloured bikes (so you don't have to stick with the default red one)

Think this is a rather cool idea, however making 'Boots of Swiftness' would maybe be a bit pointless.

 

How about, like somebody above me suggested, a pair of roller blades, a skateboard(this was even considered in the handheld games) or maybe a motorcycle like the ones that some NPCs have? The bike is boring, i haven't even bought it in my entire playthrough.

 

While i love the mounts and use them myself, maybe different ways to travel fast would be a good idea.
