Any way to get rid of the trainers reset

NPC trainer battles should be optional and we should not be forced to battle them since they are begging to lose a battle.

After you beat storyline, they don't get stronger immediately at all, just still same. Only NPC trainers after you get all badges are bit challenging. Moreover, they waste player's time when players want to travel without any difficulties. Sometimes, this plays a part in trading, you would have to go to the place where seller is, but trainers are getting in your way, wasting your time as well as his. The subway system's nice but what if you don't want to spend money? That's a problem for inexperienced players since experienced players always find a way to save their money anyways.

Most of trainers doesn't stand a chance against old players either, they are just tiny obstacles that players can overcome easily, but also can make them frustrated.

Getting rid of trainer reset would be a bad idea since it's a way of leveling up your pokemon, earning pokedollars and sometimes, they provide entertainment to players, like you like to see them losing after every week they train just to lose to you.

I suggest that once you become a champion of each region, all of trainers you fought will be stronger than before, thus providing a challenge without players being forced to battle them. Some trainers can have 50+ lvl evolved pokes or replaced pokes.

Benefits

Can provide fun experience for PvE players.

Can shock players with their strong team and this would help players realising their errors in their teams they made. So that they can fight bosses properly thanks to their experiences which made their teams better.

Maybe this will even help players regain interest in battling them, seeing how NPC battles, will be able to figure out a way to beat any boss.

Cons

Can be frustrating for players who aren't ready, thus they lose money. Server crash + DC(not sure if it affects) = death of your money. Unless they change it to $500 you lose.

Extremely time consuming.

That's up to scripter to decide since this will be extremely time consuming considering how many there are trainers in three regions and balances stuffs, so on.

204254 Still, NPCs rebattles should be optional and one staff confirmed that in the future they would make it optional, so everyone gets happy as it's the best solution

So good to hear this, I really hated the forced rebattles /_\

This "feature" is undoubtedly the most annoying thing i have found in PRO. Whatever benefit it gives is at most situational and at least 95% of the time i would rather dodge the battle. When the (!) appears you can logout and when you come back you can move out of the way. Most players know this, and most players do this. No doubt this has a substantial strain on the servers.

I've talked with staff about this before and the problem apparently lies in that the trainers are coded individually, so it's not a "fix line 323 0 to a 1" and it's fixed. Each trainer has to be done one by one. It's an annoyance not something that needs a priority for their staff.

205312 trainers being coded individually is unfortunate in and of itself. i can't imagine why that would be necessary.

It is necessary because everyone plays games for their fun factor. Trainers forcefully resetting takes a LOT of said fun factor away more than anyone thinks it does. Of course everyone won't stop playing because, or at least some of them, but still we would appreciate the Staff planning something about this in the future, which they are doing atm :Shy:

maybe you misunderstood what i was saying. i was commenting on trainers being individually programmed instead of inheriting from a main class being unfortunate.

i agree with this suggestion.

I didn't misunderstood, just my mind went blank and I only remembered about the last part while I was quoting

But still, Staff may take the time they want because they are trying their best to improve the game. Just hope this doesn't go unseen ;-;

Why not make npc trainers of each region able to reset and rebattle only after you finished that region , while also making their pokes more powerfull like lvl 70-90 to give good xp and better money . That way npcs can actually be usefull as decent xp/money source.
