Tried to download DirectX 9.0 Description and Message Hello, everytime to try and open the game i get this message I've tried to download what its asking but nothing seems to change. I havent found any solutions online, so I thought to ask here. Thank you! Nightjay Posted July 14, 2016 Share Posted July 14, 2016 Hi, what OS are you playing on? PRO can run into some issues with DirectX drivers. Here's Neva's guide, which covers DirectX file downloads. There's also Shane's guide on forcing the game to run in DirectX 9. I also googled "Direct3D Directx 9 failed to initialize error," and a suggestion that seems to work for other gamers is running as administrator. You could try that as well.
