Hello I'm a new player after doing some research I picked the dome fossil now trying to get the guy at brocks area to donate it and him give me the creator is the part I'm trying to do, he keeps on saying he can't because I have no info on my pokedex how would i even find kabuto in the open in the first place?

You revive the fossil into Kabuto in Cinnabar lab after the 7th gym, you're currently in the museum trying to donate it.

Additional information, the museum donation is only for mega stone, which is not work at the moment.
