I dont think there is any last pokemon. New Pokemons are being discovered everytime. If u ask the last pokemon known to trainers its Volcanion Generation VI.

Volcanion isn't the last known anymore thanks to Gen 7 pokes.

 

If anything, based on Magearna being likely to be Alola's mythical Pokemon, she should be the last in Alola's dex, or at least one of the last three.
