Can I use Johto/Kanto pokemon for the Hoenn Elite Four? From my understanding you cant go back to Johto/Kanto until you beat the Hoenn Elite Four, but does that mean I cant use the older pokemon either?

I dont know why ppl always try to help with half-knowledge. xd

U just need 8th badge, then u can get your pokes back in pc and u can use all johto/kanto pokes to beat e4.;)

Its same case like in johto!

Ehm.. he said "you cant go back to Johto/Kanto until you beat the Hoenn Elite Four" so that's not wrong info. He can't go back to kanto/johto until he beat e4, then he ask for the poke and you answer right.
