I wanted to buy a slugma from a guy. He was in kanto and I was at hoenn. So we talked and while i was walking i found a good slugma on the way. Then i sad to him i dont need his anymore(linked him mine) and after that he threatened me that he would get me banned. I don´t understand why it could get me banned just because I found a better one. But i am still scared cause i played already 550 hours. Just wanted to make sure that this was just a try to still sell his Pokemon. (don´t know how to link Screens. just say if you want to see them)

Dont think you would be banned for that.But if he made alll the way to you then i can understand his frustation.But hes the one that can get banned if he insulted you.

He was farming bulbasaur on route 16 the hole time.

Soo. Verbal agreements can be really iffy. If you agreed to buy the poke and said "Ok I'm on my way". But then some time later just pm him and say "Oh I found a better one, cya". That is not only rude, but careless. Since you agreed to purchase his. Whether or not its ban worthy I don't know. There aren't specific rules about that in the trade rules section. What it does mention though is that bidding on a pokemon with intent to waste someones time is against the rules. So just because he was "doing nothing but farming bulbasaurs all day", it doesn't mean that you didn't waste his time.

 

Since the time that was wasted waiting for you he could have sold to someone else who would have actually bought it and committed to whatever agreement they made in their own chat. Like I said, I don't know what you said. But if you told him that you would buy it and said you were en route, then honestly, you had an obligation to go and buy it. Even if you found a better one, since he expected you to come to him. Or at the very least you should have asked if it would have been ok.

2. Scamming / deceiving other players when it comes to trade is prohibited and will result in punishment.

Since the deal/place was confirmed, so it will mark to this rule. Please make sure that when you come to final deal, it means you sign contract to other players, and against it will be punished. It's okay if you still in the deal but when it done, it is different thing.
