Firstly I would like to open up my thread by explaining what I'm suggesting. Been playing various MMO's starting from World of Warcraft, leading to Rift, STWTOR, Wildstar and more. And what I think this game lacks that those games can offer is an auction house. Think about it, people can put up their pokemons/items they want to sell for a specific prize. It would create an official market and create and offical cost of various Pokemons. Because, the feel I've gotten so far is that this is an Pokemon MMO game.

 

Secondly, it would ease the spam the server has as of right now considering people wouldn't have to post their offers in chat every 2nd minute with their Pokemons which would ease everyone's experience considering you wouldn't need the Pokemon in your team trying to trade it, instead you could venture forth and work on completing your team or official story.

 

Thirdly, everyone would benefit from this. Me myself, I'm a collector. I want to complete my Pokedex before trying to make my unstoppable poke team. The market would be easier to understand, more people would be motivated to hunt for rares as an economy income and we would see more players interacting with eachother when looking for a specific pokemon etc.

 

The idea itself could be spinned arround? Perhaps place 1-2 NPC's working as Auctioneers at the top of every Pokecenter? Make sure you need forth Gym Badge of Kanto to be able to use the Auction house so people wouldn't flood the market with free starter pokemons and X new accounts.

 

Perks/Cons.

 

Perks:

Easy market system, you wouldn't have to spam the trade chat looking for a specific buyer every 30th second.

Obviously, ease the spam of the trade chat and make it an official trading pokemon for X pokemon chat.

Motivate players to hunt for specific pokemon more. Make the safaari and various hotspot locations :Grin:

 

Cons:

Could be hard to code

And might stress the server abit, solution for this is probably like using systems like various MMO games, fees for putting them on AH and put a max uptime of 12 - 24 hours on the AH.
