262050 As awesome of an idea as this sounds, it would have to be a little more expensive than a regular Membership to offset the loss of donations on regular membership.

Thing is the price would be no different. Either scale the price to compensate, or just match it with the current 30days ms. It's quite simple really. Those who prefer to make use of it on an hourly basis wouldn't mind paying extra to get its benefits. Considering the time wouldn't be wasted.

It sounds like a good idea but there's a few things to be considered:

1- Your example of 100 hours is TOO much. Maybe 36-48 hours is more than enough. 48 constant hours is quite a decent (if not "a lot") amount of time if we're talking about your membership suggestion/model.

2- The price on the ingame store can remain the same but what happens about the market price? Things are going to get TOO unstable and regular MS' price might be equal to that of a trash pidgey cuz nobody will want to buy something that expires quicker. Also, wouldn't your idea mean less demand for an immediate membership purchase/donation? Let's take someone who at this moment buys 500 coins (which means 5 MS medallions -> 25$) in a month's timeframe. The same person, with your suggestion, might buy less than 300 coins (resulting in a >50% reduction in income for Shane) because they simply do not need it right away. Of course, coins are not only intended for membership purchases, but i'm only bringing this to the table because at this very moment we're specifically talking about a MEMBERSHIP issue and not other in-game items.

While it's a good idea for kids and people who work and haven't got time to invest in PRO, i think it's hard to implement something like this right now. I'd like to see staff's perspective on this though, i might be thinking wrong...

The 100 hours was mostly an example, I believe the best number is 50. I don't think that it will reduce the price of the original ms. You will actually buy it with the same amount of coins, so what you pay is mostly 100 coins, not a new or old ms. I have been a hardcore player, using ms and playing about 9 hours a day, so I would surely prefer the first ms.

Now, I believe that the point is not to see how to 'milk' money from players by not improving, but improving and thus the money will come. And think about it, if this new ms is a success, many people will buy tons of them so they can sell it to make pokedollars. Don't forget that the game is still in beta, there are many things to improve and be considered.
