I've been trying to get the blasted feather for SO LONG. I use Butterfree in the 1st slot for Compound Eyes, and then I have my Farfetch'd 1-hit the damned Pidgeotto with Covet, but even though I must have killed over 30 of them, no feather... (face palm) I REALLY want the subway up and running, which is the only reason I'm doing this, but dear lord, this is frustrating...

Compound Eyes doesn't work in that way here. You're better off just using covet from the beginning. :)

so I suspected, but I figured it was worth trying anyways. Anyhow, I found the blasted feather after killing another 10 or so Pidgeottos... FINALLY

Compound eyes not work outside battle

Nocturnal Feather only can find at night only

Best way to find it is a poke in certain level (I dont remember what level are pidgeottos, it has to be 1 lower than they. This is to filter another pokes that you arent interested in) and then using covet.

Maybe the warning should be at the top, cause i just spent 5 hours grinding and finally got to the warning telling me i cant fly anywhere.
