Surprisingly, a lot of laptop users experience this. First of all you should try cleaning out the fan. If you can't remove it then use an air duster or look up another method online. After you clean out the fan, if your computer still heats up, then you should probably just place a desk fan near to your laptop to help keep it cool as clearly the laptop cooling pad isn't doing the job well.

 

Whilst playing you should keep your laptop elevated (You can find some cheap laptop stands online) This is to help the air circulate easier. Monitor your CPU usage too and close any programs that could be using up a lot of memory.
