This has happened to me twice now. Posting in game and on forums "wtb <thing>" for a full week looking for the ideal PVP poke for my team. Finally find one and the price is wicked high. I try to negotiate the price down, no budging. A couple days later I just buy it for that high price. Less than 24 hours later I see another one just like it selling for half price compared to the one i bought!

 

Things i've learned:

-Sometimes it takes longer than a week to find the right poke at the right price.

-When you're posting "wtb" in trade chat, people jack the prices up hard compared to someone who's posting "wts"

i know your feeling... when the hoeen have stared i bought a breloom for 5.5m and I deeply regret..

well I never experienced that, because i dont buy pvp pokemons but yeah patient is key to get a good price

People are just trying to scam u/find a good opportunity to make profit for themselves it's always worked like this in ANY market not just this one...

Specific natured HA poke, like a Timid Solar Power Charizard, Modest Chlorophyll Bulbasaur for a sun team.

Ouch haha! That's life though. It's hard when a poke is new too.

Yep. It's a part of life in any market.

Selling for a "high" price is not a scam, the trading is free and I'm free to set my price.

I mean, there are not lots of people who are selling epic charizard ha, so they choose their own prices.

But ye, I feel like the trading is getting from bad in worse everyday.

Scam is definitely not the right word. But they were try to take advantage as much as possible. HA good stat poke are super rare. I agree they can set their price to whatever. I think I just got unlucky because I ran into people who were patient and didn't need the money so they were willing to out wait me waiting for them to lower the price. Then I got unlucky again because just when i pull the trigger another one hits the market for sale, and that seller wants to sell immediately
