As the title says. Would gifted pokemon in-game be able to shiny.

 

Gifted pokemon like:

- Starter pokemons

- Storyline pokemons (eevee, fossil)

i dont know about starter pokemon, but the pokemon obatined from "abandoned pokeballs" do have a chance to be shiny.

Starter Pokemon that you receive from Oak and Elm can never be shiny.

 

Starters that you find in the wild can be shiny.

 

As far as Fossils and GIFTED Eevee, I really don't know.

Like Pretentious said, starters cannot be acquired from the proffesor and being shiny, but either the fossils and the others I think yes, cause there is a shiny Aerodactyl in game, and I saw someone buying the magikarp in the Pokecenter of route · and it was Shiny.

-starter cant be shiny

-abandoned pokemon (blue pokeball) have 1/500 chance shiny

-wilds have 1/8192 chance shiny

-not sure about received pokemon or fossil rate.

Fossils I believe are 1/1500 chance of being shiny

Fossils and abandon pokemon and pokemon gifted from npc's have a chance of 1/500 of being shinies

I was well aware that the abandoned pokes/fossils have chances of being a shiny.

However I never knew that its just 1/500.

I gotta keep this in mind when buying grow/staryu...

im pretty sure that the higher chance got removed
