Go to Route 22, it's at the left hand side of Viridian. From there you can train your Pokemon to a higher level. Anything above level 8 shouldn't have a problem with it. You can always use potions if you're struggling (There's no shame) :)

Best of luck on your adventure ^-^

I'm not sure I quite understood correctly: did you already challenge Jackson?

If it's the case, you will no longer be able to challenge him and will need to talk to his mother in order to continue your journey ;)

Nice to have you in game but i think you just challenge Jackson ( the guy with eevee ) for once, so you need to come back to his mom's house ( the house next to your mom's house ).Therefore , you can continue but the forest to the left of viridian city is the best place for you to train some levels. Good luck on your journey! <3

Quick tip: Don't evolve Bulbasaur for now. It will need more exp to evolve later :y:

  • random number generation

An acronym for "random number generator" or "random number generation", it refers to the process by which computers generate apparently random numbers, essentially the computer equivalent of 'chance'.
