Apologies for the inconvenience. This issue had been identified and resolved quite a while ago, and the remedy was applicable as from the time of the fix, and after the player talks to Prof Birch to start recording the Hoenn hours. While users with the symbols +, % and @ are the chat staff, they are not necessarily also game staff, but they can usually advise you. That said, forums are better for reporting issues and bugs.
