350095 why it is so hard to catch the beldum?

it consume me 35+ ultra ball with sleep+10% hp

:Nervous:

need to change the catching rate

Hello jamesling95,

I used to run gengar with hypnosis and a tank mew (leftover) with falseswipe + hypnosis to catch beldum

  • lead sync
  • swap to mew
  • hypnosis
  • falseswipe
  • swap to gengar
  • hypnosis
  • try to catch it with ultraballs

It takes around 50-100 ultraballs everytime for me on avg. (I don't think 10-15 ultraballs is a for real)

An acronym for "random number generator" or "random number generation", it refers to the process by which computers generate apparently random numbers, essentially the computer equivalent of 'chance'.

350107 Don't you know, beldum's catch rate is 0.3%

Not really.

Beldum Catch Rate is 3. It's the only no legendary PKM with a very low Catch Rate. If i don't do mistake, the lowers PKM Catch Rate are 20-25 for normal PKM. A starter has 45 in Catch Rate and a Magikarp has 255 x)

Just to know, if i have a Beldum lv 20 in front of me, he will have around 50 HP.

If i false swipe him, and want to catch him with a Ultra Ball, the probability to catch him is : 2,32% !

If you want to know more about Catch Rate, you can go on Bulbapedia: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Catch_rate

Other thing to know :

When you False Swipe a Beldum, in the same turn, Beldum will use Take Down, so he can die. But the HP Lose are truncate, so Beldum can not lose HP with Take Down. In Game, i notice he don't lose HP on my Scizor, but if Take Down does a critical hits, he will lose HP and die. So, always use a Ghost to catch him. And be careful with the False Swiper x)

i u got a sweeper with 250 def take down will done 3 or less dmg that means it will never get recoil dmg , also a armaldo with battle armor ( not sure if coded in pro but armaldo got way more 250 def ) will never recive a critical hit so no chance to die , (armaldo can learn false swipe too) , u can paralize beldum and change to a defensive scizor or armaldo to false swipe

ps. armaldo is also good to caught eevee cuz it never take down vs him only uses Bite

ps. 1. USE ONLY SIMPLE POKEBALLS , Great or Ultra not wortht he money for some more chances since u waste 1.2k is like u waste 6 pokeballs (so actualy u got less chances to caught a pokemon)

I agree with the fact that Ultra ball are not worth for money. Except in the case of Beldum, Beldum takes too much real time to be catch with Pokeball. With Ultra Ball, you will use 50-100 Ultra ball to catch him, too much chance to have a server's disconnect x)

It can wake up right there and faint to recoil. Much better and beneficial to use Shedinja.

Also I don't know if you realize, but you're calling me a liar with your statement which is very disrespectful. I have no reason to lie about my experiences. Especially to James who I respect and consider a friend. 8-10 is for real from my experience, and it isn't actually too unusual since there's a 50% chance of catching it within 6 Ultra Balls @ 1hp and asleep and at least a 95% chance of capturing Beldum after 24 attempts. Please refrain from using offensive statements in the future.
