And having to load a new route to zip around trees to then come back to the same area (since the cave is in the Cerulean City loaded area) is tiresome and wastes extra time. Why not have an npc blocking a small path that allows players to surf to CC from the sidewalk rather than have to go all the way around? And he moves only when CC is unlocked? Or for those players who like something to sink money into, he'll only move if he takes a bribe of $50k (or whatever amount)?
