Jaccard1
► FOSSIL DATA GUIDE ◄ This guide is intended to illustrate about the Pokémon fossils available in the game at the moment. Contents [goto=What]What are they[/goto] [goto=Wich]Fossils in game[/goto] [goto=Use]Usefulness of Fossils[/goto] [goto=PVE]PVE[/goto] [goto=PVP]PVP[/goto] [*][goto=Where]Where find them[/goto] [goto=Story]Story[/goto] [goto=Dig]Dig Spots[/goto] [goto=Boss]Boss Reward[/goto] [goto=Exca]Excavations[/goto] [goto=Buy]Buying for money[/goto] [*][goto=How]How revive them[/goto] Let's go there! [anchor=What]What are they[/anchor] ★They are the remainings of Pokémon that lived millions of years ago, that are conserved until today because they were petrified in rocks. These can be revived in laboratories, obtaining a prehistoric pokémon. [anchor=Wich]Fossils in game[/anchor] ★Which pokémon will they become? In addition to these, you can currently capture Tirtouga wich is traditionally revived from the Cover Fossil. This pokémon appears in Jura Cave during the Morning. [anchor=Use]Usefulness of Fossils[/anchor] ★ Once revived, the Pokémon we get from our fossils can be useful for PVE (story mode) and PVP (Player vs Player). Now we will review the usefulness of these in both modes of the game. ● [anchor=PVE]PVE[/anchor] Considering that all fossils have "acceptable" statistics they are useful in this modality. A possible use for these (if you want to look very cool, using pokémon harder to obtain) is to use them as the famous "HM / TM Slave" Kabutops : Cut | Dig | Dive | Headbutt | Rock Smash | Surf | Thief | Iron Defense* Omastar : Dive | Headbutt | Rock Smash | Surf | Thief | Iron Defense Armaldo : Cut | Dig | False Swipe | Headbutt | Rock Smash | Iron Defense Aurorus : Flash | Rock Smash | Thunder Wave | Iron Defense Aerodactyl : Headbutt | Rock Smash | Thief Cradily : Flash | Headbutt | Rock Smash Tyrantrum : Dig | Rock Smash | Iron Defense * Iron defense is a requeriment for go where Boss Steven ● [anchor=PVP]PVP[/anchor] Following the previous logic to say that fossils have acceptable statistics, these can be used in your team of PvP. A relevant consideration before selecting any of these fossils for your team is that they all share the type. So you should consider the main features of this type. You can check them in the following link: Rock Type. By owning this type, they are useful in a team with Sandstorm, because they as increased their special defense x1,5. Kabutops : Nature: Adamant/Jolly | Ability: Swift Swim | Item: Lum Berry / Life Orb | Main Movements: Sword Dance / Aqua Jet ★ Details: Swift Swim allows Kabutops to function on or against rain teams. Life Orb gives Kabutops extra power while Lum Berry provides Kabutops with protection against status from defensive Pokemon. Omastar : Nature: Modest | Ability: Swift Swim | Item: Lum Berry / Life Orb / Choice Specs | Main Movements: Surf (hydro pump) / Ice Beam ★ Details: Swift Swim allows Omastar to function on or against rain teams like Kabutops. Without Specs Omastar has access to Shell Smash becoming a great wallkbrear. Aerodactyl : Nature: Jolly/Hasty | Ability: Pressure/Rock Head | Item: Life Orb / Choice Band | Main Movements: Stone Edge / Eartquake / Taunt ★ Details: Hasty nature is useful for Fire blast against Ferrothorn. Other option for use it as suicide lead with life orb. Access to taunt makes it viable against some walls/stall pokes. Armaldo : Nature: Adamant | Ability: Battle Armor/Swift Swim | Item: Leftlovers/Life Orb/Lum Berry | Main Movements: Stone Edge / X-Scissor / Rapid Spin ★ Details: Leftlovers give passive recovery which is helpful especially if it switches into entry hazards multiple times to Rapid Spin. In Rain weather with Swift Swim Swords Dance become useful, If the weather is over there is the option of Aqua Jet. Cradily : Nature: Sassy/Calm | Ability: Storm Drain | Item: Leftlovers | Main Movements: Stealth Rock / Recover / Giga Drain ★ Details: ith his ability, Cradily is a good entry against water moves because increases Spatk. Access to Curse makes it a defensive threat, especially during Sandstorm. Under these conditions, with Toxic it can annoy the rival team a lot. Aurorus : Nature: Modest | Ability: Refrigerate/Snow Warning | Item: Choice Specs | Main Movements: Hyper Voice / Earth Power/ Blizzard ★ Details: Due to Aurorus's low Speed and exploitable typing, it mainly functions as a hit-and-run Pokemon. Choice Specs gives greater offensive power. Snow Warning ability (Inducing Hail) will allow Blizzard never fail and be the replacement of Hyper Voice (boosted by Refrigerate) Tyrantrum : Nature: Jolly | Ability: Rock Head | Item: Lum Berry / Life Orb | Main Movements: Dragon Dance / Head Smash /Outrage (Dragon Claw) ★ Details: Try to keep it against Pokemon that Tyrantrum can set up on, such as Talonflame. Its ability allows you to use Head Smash (150 power) without recoil. Access to Dragon Dance increases the chances of defeat the most offensive threats. Outrage can handle both Fighting and Ground types. Source: Smogon [anchor=Where]Where find them[/anchor] ★These can be obtained in various ways in the game. Prehax
This is actually a pretty good guide and I actually learned something but you have some really crucial mistakes in there, like suggesting sandstorm when like 3 of them have the swift swim ability and as secondary type water; that's just wrong. ♦ Spawn-Changelog ♦ | ♦ Pokémon Spawn related - Suggestions | Feedback | Requests ♦ ♦ Paradox Guild ♦ random number generation An acronym for "random number generator" or "random number generation", it refers to the process by which computers generate apparently random numbers, essentially the computer equivalent of 'chance'. Jaccard1
This is actually a pretty good guide and I actually learned something but you have some really crucial mistakes in there, like suggesting sandstorm when like 3 of them have the swift swim ability and as secondary type water; that's just wrong. They can be helpful by increasing special defense. On the other hand in the specific set details the usefulness of those with the Swift Swim ability when there is rainy weather. Anyway, thanks for your comment :Shy:
