Likes will show number of people like a certain post and Thank will be Total Thanks received by a User which shows in his Thanks Meter. Just a suggestion. It's fine the way it is.

I agree with Wargreymon, in theory they both have the same functionality with different names. I suggested the like button on the old forums months ago, I'm satisfied with thanks, showing appreciation is really all that matters the name shouldn't.
