Did you happen to get sent back to the pokeceneter after using an escape rope while on your mount? Or were you sent back to the pokecenter after losing to a trainer? If so, were you able to move around after?

I used an escape rope and yes i was able to move with my mount in pokecenter

Is the speed of the mount similar to the speed in road, or is it walking speed?

 

Have you tried getting off and back on?
