This can happen sometimes due to rollbacks when the servers crash, or are rebooted for updates. Do you by chance have the pokemon's ID number so we can further investigate this for you? I understand the rollback if I had caught it at that time, but that pokemon I have it for 1 month, had it lvl 100 evolved to talonflame, inlcuso used it in my pvp and it comes to disappear as if nothing is strange, It's a matter of checking my account and that's it.
