Played the same player 6 times within 15 hours

Featured Replies

Is there no way to have 2 players play each other a maximum of 2 times within 24 hours or something along those lines? It's not fun to play the same player over and over again, I played him 5(!) times in a row last night and for the 6th time a couple of minutes ago.

Hello Zwettl,

this basically happens if nobody is in the queue and nothing can be done about it o/

An acronym for "random number generator" or "random number generation", it refers to the process by which computers generate apparently random numbers, essentially the computer equivalent of 'chance'.

Thank you for your reply PreHax,

I'd rather queue up a couple of times to find a new player than playing the same guys over and over again. I'm not sure how others feel about this, but I can imagine that a lot of people would be in the same boat as me.

Zwettl, you don't want to wait that long to find a battle. :) I don't think many players would be in the same boat as you, if you know you will Q 6 times in the same player, why not counter him, if you lose 6 times in a row; I would just question my abilities I guess

PreHax, hmm yeah I guess the waiting would turn off a lot of people indeed. The thing is that you don't know who you'll play against, so you might change your team to counter that player and match up versus someone else because the matchmaking is so random (I play vs. rank 0 and 350+ more often than not with my rank being +- 220).

It's not about losing btw :P It's 3-3 in overall games versus that player.

Totally agreed with you Zwettl . I was also paired up with you like twice or trice in a row yesterday xd.

PreHax there are definitely things that can be done about it. One solution would be (which wouldn't solve the problem completely, but would at least help) to make visible who is currently engaged in a pvp ranked battle. So NOT to see who is currently in the queue, then rather to see who is currently battling. That way we could wait for the player against whom we just played to be engaged in a pvp battle that would exclude us and therefore join the queue afterwards.

EDIT: This idea I proposed would actually go along greatly with the implementation of spectating pvps. It is also something really common in other games with a queue. I can assume tho that a lot of players wouldn't want spectating to be enabled in the game, especially because they would be forced to change teams all the time.

HeroOfTheStreet, haha yes I match up at least twice now vs almost everyone I play in PVP. I like your idea btw, maybe add my idea of only being able to play vs the same person a maximum amount of times within 24 hours. Two or three times maximum seems fair to me because this also cancels out any boosting/PVP coin farming that may be happening seeing I can match up versus the same player 5 times in a row :P

Zwettl agreed with your idea as well, but then a choice should be left to the player by pressing a button or setting something in options whether or not he wants to avoid playing against the same people during the same day. I don't know how hard that would be for the developers to implement tho.
