So my starter Pikachu has some nice stats, but a buddy of mine told me l shouldn't evolve him, or there'd be a chance he'd lose those stats when he turned into Raichu. Is there any truth to this, or will my awesome Pikachu become an awesome Raichu?

Hi PokemonRusty,

A Pokemon's Base Stats stats only become better when you evolve the Pokemon. EVs, IVs and natures also don't change. Not sure what your friend was telling you :P

Pikachu's have a chance to carry them when caught :D

Oh goddamn, so l just have to start catching random Pikachus on the off chance one of them is carrying the god forsaken ball? Bummer lol. Welp, thanks anyway :D
