Hey guys welcome on (one of) my first thread(s), actually my first time ever on that part of the forum. Not that i'm not interested in suggesting ideas to the staff, far from it; you'll understand what i mean in a few seconds. Obviously I'm aware that sinnoh just came out and you guys still have a lot of work to fully implement that region so just take this post as a draft of ideas for the future.

So I've been gathering some random ideas whenever they popped in my mind or during discussions with my guild on a text file, and as you can guess already i'll be sort of showcasing these ideas down below. I really hope these suggestions will be considered and discussed, as to me they can bring some new interesting aspects to PRO.

Also note that some of these ideas might've been posted already on the forum, if so i'm sorry for wasting your time.

1. Give a purpose to the mailboxes using trainers.

The recent addition of the mailing system was great, but people can't seem to find a real use for it. In the same time, the trainer NPCs have been adjusted (in a good way) with the line of sight changes. Now these trainers are going to be (for most of us), just useless NPCs standing on the side of the routes.

So I thought of an idea using these two aspects of the game, it might be quite ambitious but I think it's worth mentioning.

If you can remember HG/SS, after beating a trainer you would get their phone number, and they would call you later in the game for a rematch, and a potential "reward". More informations here. Well I thought why wouldn't we adapt and revise this mechanic to PRO?

My idea would be that after beating a trainer, they'd send you a random pre-redacted mail in the next week with a little item attached. The stronger the trainer is, the more interesting the item would be. That would add a whole new mechanic to the game without creating any new NPC, while giving a purpose to these trainers as well as some maps.

An example of a mail would be :

From : Bug Catcher John

2. Changes about PvP coins.

So there's what I think is a sensitive subject but that's whatever. I'm going to be straightforward, I think the amount of PvP battles required to have an access to the PvP mounts and all that stuff is litteraly ridiculous. Getting a hundread points can take from 2 whole days of PvP-ing to weeks, even months. I know these PvP cloaks and mounts are supposed to be rewarding the best battlers, but right now they're rewarding the guys who spend ages on the PvP ladder, and i'm sorry but we don't all have enough time to grind that hard. A lot of people get turned down by this aspect and just don't PvP because it asks too much time. So here's what I'm suggesting :

(Inspired by the main game's battle towers, battle frontier, etc.)

- A single win on the ladder will give 1 PvP coin to the winner

- Two consecutive wins will give 2 PvP coins to the winner

- A loss will take away one coin from the loser

This might be unclear so let me explain. Let's say you win a first battle on the PvP ladder, that'll give you 1 coin. Later you do an other battle and win it as well, that'll give you two more coins. If you win a third in a row then you're going to win 3 coins. And if you lose a battle.. then you lose a coin.

This way, only the best battlers would be rewarded. You could even lower the prices of the rewards.

3. In-game marriage.

To be honest, i'll be surprised if that never got suggested. The idea is pretty simple, it's just about allowing two players to marry each other in game. It's a common thing in mmorpgs, and it'd give some advantages to the married players. For example, let's say the marriage would cost 500k for each player, but in exchange they'd get the ability to teleport on each other. Or they could get an exp bonus or something. There are plenty of possibilities and that'd also be a really fun addition to PRO.

4. Improve the EV training mechanic.

Yeah, that's something even gamefreak understood. The classical way of EV training is BORING as hell. PRO is already a time-consuming game, so players obviously noticed that as well. Though, there could be a few simple ways to make it easier. We already have that EV-training area at the safari zone but the time gained from going there is pretty small. So my suggestion would be to create a way to gain 2 times more EVs, using a rare item similar to the EXP boost one, or for example 2 times more EVs in the safari zone. That'd be super cool, that, or directly creating a sort of minigame to EV train our pokemon just like gamefreak did. Though I know the latest suggestion would be a lot more difficult to implement.

5. A few more small suggestions.

- I noticed that you've been supporting the whole Repel trick thing and created some new spawns allowing that trick to happen. Therefore i'd suggest to add a few NPCs such as the rocket grunt selling packs of pokeballs with a discount, but now with super repels. Just because, farming with the repel trick costs a lot, and that little improvement would encourage players to use that trick. Oh yeah while i'm at it, please add one at the Johto safari zone. :(

- A really common problem when you're hunting, is that you have to run back to the pokecenter pretty often to empty your party and release the trash pokemon you caught (assuming you're not a lucky head catching everything on first try). That sounds like no big deal but when the closest pokemon center is 5minutes away, it's a little problematic (let's take the Hawlucha route as an example shall we lol). A simple fix to that would be to add a simple way to release a pokemon directly from our party. That'd add a lot of confort when hunting pokemons.

- Last idea that a lot of PvP players might like : Creating an option (like or checkbox or something) allowing players to chose whether or not they want to display the first pokemon of their party in the overworld. Cause i've seen some players hiding in sneaky pokecenters to hide their lead, and knowing your opponent's lead is quite important in a non-team preview metagame.

Anyway, that's all i had to say. Hope that wasn't too boring and that I was at least entertaining to read. Hopefully some of these suggestions will become true one day!

Thanks for reading :y:

2. the mounts are exclusive, theyre expensive because of that fact.

4. We aren't lowering the price of repels, the repel trick isn't a mandatory thing you need to do, they are staying at a flat rate price, either you can afford to repel trick hunt, or not, again, that is why a reduced cost NPC hasn't been added. it is a money sink for the rich

I quite don't understand what you mean there. I can see that the mounts have to be difficult to get, i'm just suggesting to change that difficulty. To reward skill over free time.

Shiio, Top25 gets around the coins you need for a mount; that's the reward for "Skill>time"

Also lowering the Repel costs; would basically make the only good argument I had for the Repeltrick useless; the moneysink is needed and I would want to get all Repelspawns removed when Repels get a lower price (which they never will).

 • random number generation

An acronym for "random number generator" or "random number generation", it refers to the process by which computers generate apparently random numbers, essentially the computer equivalent of 'chance'.

I want marriages in PRO it must become a thing, and + it could be a good money synch but there is a lot of question to be asked, such as what grant you exactly the marriage, teleportation with a delay/cooldown should be fine, a bonus xp or money xp sounds fine like a 5% or so.

I'd love too see that in pro

CrushVenom. ^-^

p.s. I'd marry mapple if it was a thing :3

p.p.s. mapple is mine <3
