It would be nice to be able to keep your shiny Pokemon from the test phase. But the main reason this will got shot down is the test phase was for finding bugs and errors, to improve the game. The point of testing wasn't to grind hunt for shiny or rare Pokemon. Great idea, but I would bet it won't happen.

We will not be keeping any data from a test phase for the launch.

The more time you're hunting for shiny Pokémon and not looking for NPC, map, or general bugs, the less you're helping during this phase.

 

I'm not just singling you out. But think about it. If they allowed people to keep things from the testing phase, why would people continue to test and try to find errors?

I agree with Pretentious. I spent nearly all my time looking for errors and just playing the story line to make sure everything runs smoothly. Every small contribution of reporting errors goes a long way.

I dont support the idea. Imagine if you find a "shiny dratini" and in the realease you start with that dratini, you will have a lot of advantage vs all the other players. This phase is to test, not to "hunt" thats why will be a final wipe
