If you mean being in a guild,there is actually few benefices.

 

You can get a 25% Exp Boost if your guilds make it to the Guild Ladder.

You can make new friends.

You can do the adventure with them and they'll help you.

 

This is pretty much it.As it's free to join one,I don't see why not join.
