I immediately went and caught a wild stunky and now that it's 100, the npc says "You're cheating, you can't use a pokemon you caught before i gave you the quest.". I know for a fact, 100% positively that I talked to the npc first and caught stunky after. now he says catch a new stunky to train to 100. I have no other stunky in pc.
