Choose a target

This may seem obvious but you must choose one.

You don't have any idea on what Pokemon you want to hunt?

Take a look to into the in game Trade Channel or follow the PvP trends, you'll probably be inspired.

How to find your target

You would like to hunt for Flabebe but you don't know where to find it ? You would like to know if Deino can be found at night ?

Check our PRO Wiki or even our complete PRO Pokedex.

You'll find here all the information you need about the spawn locations of the Pokemon you'd like to hunt.

Do I need to be Membership ?

A few Pokemon are exclusive to Membership players. If you are planning to hunt one of them, then you mustn't forget to activate your Membership Medallion.

15 days Membership Medallion

30 days Membership Medallion

Do I need to be Elite 4 Champion?

It's a must, yes. You will get access to more areas, more quests, more Pokemon, and more content in general.

Where can I lvl up my False Swiper/Sync ?

The best place are Cerulean Cave and Dragons Shrine. If you're lazy to unlock these areas you can still level up your Pokemon in Dragons Den.

Quote

▶︎ How to unlock Cerulean Cave (level up to 63~)

▪︎ Go to Cerulean City, talk to the guard, he says that a Dragon Master in Johto can give you the access to Cerulean Cave

▪︎ Now you need to go to Dragons Den B1f (requires Dragon Membership which costs 200k + you need 240 Pokemons owned), Lance will await you, fight him.

▪︎ Lance's team : Pokémonicon_149.pngPokémonicon_445.pngPokémonicon_334.pngPokémonicon_373.pngPokémonicon_330.pngPokémonicon_635.png

▪︎ Go to Cerulean Cave. The guard now will let you go into Cerulean

Quote

▶︎ How to unlock Dragons Shrine (level up to 64~)

▪︎ Get 150 evolved Pokemon

▪︎ Get a lvl 100 dragon type in your team

▪︎ Talk to the guard in Dragons Den (see spoiler)

Here is a list of the most useful ones.

Of course there's a bunch of other ones so feel free to use the one that suits your hunt !

Be careful and don't use Effect Spore ability on Breloom or Parasect !

When a Pokemon with this ability is hit by a move that makes contact

there is a 30% chance that the attacking Pokemon will becomepoisoned, paralyzed or asleep

Breloom

286.png

Ability : Technician/Poison Heal

Spore — False Swipe — Drain Punch — Seed Bomb

Parasect

047.png

Ability : Dry Skin/Damp

Spore — False Swipe — Stun Spore — X-Scissor

Absol

359.png

Ability : Super Luck/Justified

Thunder-Wave — False Swipe — Taunt — Night Slash

Scizor

212.png

Ability : Technician/Swarm

False Swipe — Roost — Bullet Punch — X-Scissor

Scizor is really useful if you want to hunt for Beldum.

Beldum won't get damaged by recoil of Take Down if your Scizor is high level.

Shedinja

292.png

Ability : Wonder Guard

False Swipe — Shadow Claw — Shadow Sneak — Protect

Useful if you hunt Beldum. Shedinja's ghost type avoid recoil from Take Down.

Smeargle

235.png

Ability : Own Tempo/Technician

[False Swipe — Spore — Taunt — Soak

4 in 1 Pokemon, but quite hard to level up for a beginner, better learn it Seismic Toss while training.

Smeargle's Tutor Move located in Ruins of Alph, $7,500 per move.

rBxljj06DZ1LEju6P83lfYkdYSp15q.png

Mew

151.png

Ability : Synchronise

False Swipe — Thunder-Wave — Taunt — Role Play

4 in 1 Pokemon, but quite hard to get since it's a legendary Pokemon and it requires hard conditions.

This Pokemon is advised for experienced players.

⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

If a Pokemon with Synchronize is in the first place in the party, any wild encountered Pokemon has a 50% chance of having the same nature as the Pokemon with this Ability.

Keep in mind that your Synchronize Pokemon must be alive when you are hunting.

All these Pokemon are available on PRO.

Role Play replaces the user's ability with the target's ability.

It will allow you to know if the Pokemon that you found has the ability you want.

You can mix Synchronize + Role Play on Abra's family evolution line, and Mew.

Kadabra learns Role Play at level 41.

Alakazam relearns Role Play via Pre-Evolution Move Tutor

Mew learns Role Play via Move Tutor

Role Play Tutor ◦ Hearthome City House 3 - $12,000

Pre-Evolution Move Tutor ◦ Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh Daycare - $10,000 per move

The Repel trick allows you to find the highest-leveled wild Pokemon in an area.

To perform it, you need several Repels and a Pokemon at a specific level.

I won't explain further this method since everything has been detailed in this guide.

The easiest way to find pokemon that hold your desired item is by using the Reborn Bot.

You may access the Reborn Bot in the PRO Official Discord or you may invite it to your own server.

Do ^item <item> in #bot-commands to get a list of where and what pokemon may hold your desired item.

The pokemon have a different chances to hold the item. For more information, see the Held Items in the Wild Guide.

Frisk

Frisk tells you what item the target pokemon is holding.

Once your desired item is detected, you may catch the pokemon or use Thief or Covet.

Thief, Covet

Thief and Covet steals the held item of the target pokemon.

You may use Thief or Covet on every pokemon that can hold your item in an area, or after you have detected your desired item.

Where to get TM 62 - Thief ?

◦Celadon Mart Roof - $7,500 (Completed Thief Quest)

Where to get TM 62 - Covet ?

◦TM Covet: Goldenrod City Gym - $10,000

⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

Last but not least, don't forget to buy all items you may need.

On Celadon Mall rooftop, you can find a thief NPC who can sell you 50 Poke Ball for 9k.

On each safari lobby you can also find an Ultra Ball Maniac who can sell you 300 Ultra Balls for 270k, and 600 Ultra Balls for 500k.

If you wish to hunt a Pokemon with its hidden ability, then you must buy a Black Medallion. It enhances the chance of inheriting a hidden ability of the acquired Pokemon to 20%.

I wouldn't necessarily only use the PRO Wiki as source for spawns, mainly due to the fact that it's not uptodate and sinnoh spawns are not added yet -> <URL url="https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=399152#p399152"><s></s>[100% Sinnoh Spawns Completed!] Complete PRO Pokedex!<e></e></URL> might be a good additional source<br/>

Re: Hunt Guide — How to be well prepared

<r><MENTION><s></s>Neroli<e></e></MENTION> sure thing, I would maybe add that Smeargle with Seismic Toss is the easiest way to level it up. /mainly add this fact due to Smeragle being the best False Swiper :P</r>
