There are plenty of good Pokemon to hunt in the Viridian Forest and plus you can get an early start on working on your EV''s. There will be plenty to do before you face Brock. Just a suggestion, catch a Pikachu in the forest. It will set up something cool in Mt. Moon and help you big time when facing all those Zubats as well as Misty.

Is that 4th poke ball in Oak's lab a Pikachu? I tried to see what it was before picking a starter and it wouldn't tell me much. That would be a neat addition to have a 4th option with the Pikachu considering Yellow version was out there.

You actually can get the 4th Pokeball (Pikachu). I don't like to give away spoilers, but if you really wanna know how, just PM me and I'll tell ya how.
