Jackson in school problem

I lost the game to Jackson on Viridian's school, so the girl tell me to move on the road. However when I try to leave Viridian a old man tell me to go check it out the school so I'm kinda stuck, what do I do?

Hey mate. As you lost to Jackson, go back to pallet town and talk to his mom in is house. His house is next to your house. His mom will come and move him. Then you will be able to go forward. I hope this helps u. Gl :)))
