I mean 4 regions, dozens of towns, i think a hearthone item, maybe quest and or pokedollars required to get, and with a hefty cooldown of 2 hours maybe?

There are plenty of ways to travel, like subway, train and different boat routes. They all cost money, but there is no hearthstone item or anything similar.

There is kinda you can go to the subway station and pay the guy at the bottom for fast travel . It's kinda costly but you can do like 10-15-30day option if I'm not mistaken . Which allows you to instant travel to any poke center location
