There are several things you can try:

• Let your Windows Update do all the updates possible, then restart your computer and try to log in. Do note that Windows update might take a while, you will have to be patient.

If this does not fix your problem, you can try this:

Next, you want to download this tool called aio-runtime. What it does is scan your PC for missing DirectX files and visual++ and install them for you. What's weird is that GTA 5 relies on some of these, yet the game doesn't install them itself.. Download everything that is related to DirecX and runtime once it is done scanning.

You will need to let it scan and update everything needed, then restart your PC.

There was an optional PRO update released not too long ago that patched the resolution error for Windows 10. Can you check the downloads page and ensure you have the newest client running?
