Mew troll?

Featured Replies

Its about 4:46 A.M. eastern time now. Maybe 10 mins ago or so, a system message appeared "Mew is looking for strong trainers. Are you up for the challenge?". Everyone in chat (unsurprisingly) went ecstatic. A minute later, the server crashes, lol.

Was this intended as an event? or a troll?

Mew is catchable. Server crash on the other hand, was an unexpected coincidence.

Does this mean that Mew can only be caught at certain times of the day?

I've skimmed over the mew thread about the confirmed and theoretical ways to obtain him. Not sure if you're able to tell this much, but is it safe to assume 'Mew' was about to start an event, or was this just its way or informing the players of its existence?
