BATTLE TOWER GUIDE - INFO/BOSSES/REWARDS/STRATEGY

 

Hello everyone, my names McSchitter of Scarlet and I am here today to go over the expansion to the PRO universe, BATTLE TOWER!

The Battle Tower is a ultimate boss battle royale where you will go head to head with 10 bosses whose difficulty increases with room number.

After defeating all ten bosses, you will have the opportunity to battle Cynthia and with each boss defeated your rewards grow.

HOW TO GET THERE:

1) As a champ of Sinnoh, you can take any PC teleporter to the Fight Area, or alternatively, you can speak with the sailor in Snowpoint City.

When you arrive in the Fight Arena, just North-East of the PC you should see the entrance to the Battle Tower area shown:

 

 

2) Continue North through the area (there is a PC to the far orth-West corner of the area) until you reach a tall building which is the Battle Tower. The area does not appear to have anything notable from my experience as none of the NPC's did anything:

 

 

3) Once inside the Battle Tower, we can now cover the various NPC's in the lobby area:

 

 

 

NOTABLE NPC's:

1) Registration Officer - This is the person to talk to so that you can register to battle in the 2nd floor of the Battle Tower! To register you must pay a 15K REGISTRATION FEE!

*PLEASE NOTE*: There is a 4 DAY COOLDOWN upon completion of a Battle Tower Run! (not 100% sure about losing to any of the bosses but I assume it is the same, let me know)

 

2) Reward Distributor - Upon winning at least 1 battle (it takes skill to not beat room 1) and onward, upon finishing in the second floor you can speak to this NPC to OBTAIN YOUR PVE COINS and other loot!

 

3) PVE Coin Master - This is where you redeem you sweet sweet loot, and wow is it some insane loot! The currency used here is PVE COINS and let's break down these rewards next.

 

4) PvE Coin Apprentice - Offers for sale 1 time use items mostly for PvP and Honey

1) SYNCABLE POKEMON - This means you can try to SYNC the nature of these reward PKMN and BMs are claimed to work in these encounters. When you choose a PKMN the NPC will ask if you are ready and if you say yes the encounter will start! They appear to change frequently so you will have to check for yourself what is available. They all cost 50 coins to battle each.

 

2) REROLL TICKETS - With these tickets you can either (depending on which of the two you have) RE-ROLL a legendary's NATURE or IV's!

Time for what most of you came here for, the bosses! As a little introduction to them, the bosses widely vary in difficulty based on room number and must be done in order from left (room 1) to the right. You HEAL after every battle, but you CANNOT switch PKMN. You CAN log out between battles but not during one. THESE BOSS NPC's CAN VARY FOR EACH PLAYER NOTE: When you walk in front of any boss other than Cynthia, you will begin battling! A strong strategy that I see working for a lot of teams is plenty of stall options, weather denial/advantage, and sweep options of 1 or 2 PKMN (two may be safer when it comes to randomness of Cynthia's PKMN). Without further delay, here are the bosses I have compiled thus far, the format of the moves known will say what PKMN of mine was targeted by the used move if I was the one who battled the opponent:

VERY IMPORTANT: I have confirmed that Cynthia does have SETS (3 it appears) of CHANGING PKMN for different people that challenge her, I got lucky since my source of information matched with Mega Metagross when I fought her. I will be updating with all the different PKMN she may have so you can prepare accordingly in the following spoiler list below (Please comment to me about PKMN I have not added and the lineup and order used by Cynthia!). Below is an example of my battle with her. There may be a pattern to which PKMN come out, order, and combinations. ARCEUS MOVES MAY CHANGE WITH SET (unconfirmed!)

 

Strategy: IF YOU HAVE ANY WEEZING(not for metagross, save him for setup after), EELEKTROSS, OR ROTOM, USE IT AS YOUR OPENER (UPDATE: EARTHQUAKE MAY HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE OPENERS)! Levitate + Ground weakness = SUPER sad mega metagross and Mega Salamence! Also, WATCH for ARCEUS physical SD set! Maybe use Mandibuzz for that (pretty good for Skarmory set too). The rest is smart gameplay or just reviving Excadrill until you sand rush sweep her whole team! GL and bring supplies!!!! Oh and do yourself a favor and play the Sinnoh Region Champion Battle music while you do this for a buff to your confidence, GL!

 

Team Notes:

During my various runs I have found the most versatile team to run to the one shown here. Klefki with thunder wave and screens support is a powerful emergency tool to deal with stubborn situations thatll require lots of reviving but with RNG klefki can definitely cut down on the amount you use. The pelipper I have is on offensive rain setter which speed runs things leading up to Cynthia which is very beneficial to have along with the kingdra for swift swim. The weezing is in my opinion the most helpful levitate mon with toxic spikes. Intimidate impish gyarados can be used for helpful attack cuts in combination with Klefki is neuter dangerous setup and megas of Cynthia and can have setup as well which is nice. Ferrothorn is a safety option with good tools in hazards, protect, leech seeds, and iron barbs. I can sometimes never need revives which is very hard to find a team that is capable of that but the team does require some thinking due to RNG changing the scenarios quite frequently. GL

FINAL THOUGHTS (Really would appreciate Mods pushing for some of the topics covered here in the future please):

 

Upon winning, I got 25PVE coins and a Cubchoo Hat (Only once)! I know there are a lot of people who got this same reward. There is also a rare tier reward drop that USED TO drop the Kyogre Mount but has since been changed and removed.

If you do not beat Cynthia you will get 1 for each boss you beat. So if you fail at any boss, your coins add up to total number of defeated foes and 25 PvE coins for full completion

I was very excited to make my very first guide for the community and I hope I did a good job as I have not been a member of forums for any of the games I have played. This guide can certainly be even spiffier so do please leave suggestions on what to improve on with the guide.

Cynthia's Pokemon are all random. I was just about to make a guide but you beat me to it XD. Here are some more info I got on it. For the rewards if you won, all you got was 25 PVE coins and a cubchoo hat. If you lost all you got was 10 PVE coins. I'll do it again with my alt and get more info. (the strag i used was galvantula (sticky webs, thunder wave, or thunder if they had rain dance), Ttar (sandstream, stealth rock, crunch, superpower, and stone edge), and Excadrill (iron head, earthquake, rock slide, and swords dance)). I needed a lot more pokemon for Cynthia and the use of revival herbs/revives/full restores (bc of kyogre's ice beam). Clefable was really good with the Sticky Webs bc with thunder wave off you can soft boil and calm mind stack.

 

Idk if you mentioned it but it costs 15k to enter, you cannot switch pokemon once u start, you get healed after every battle, and there is a 4 day cooldown.

Hi in advance.

at 7 i got a npc only with fossils pokemons and a mega aerodactyl.

at 8 i got dumbledore npc , that started with a mega gengar and a mega mewtwo that was a real pain.

i didn´t find any eletrik npc long the way.

also, my 9 npc trainer got a lucario that only did heal pulse XD, that gave me time to buff

My cyntia boss started with mega salamance, metal mewtwo, palkia,dialga, arceus and other mega that i didn't remenber now.

 

so , npcs are random order and random cyntia team boss, my 6 npcs was so easy that i did it in 2 mins.

 

 

my advice here is: weezing/eelectross -> levitade

lanturn -> volt absorv

steel type : scizor/excadrill/durant

pokemon with huge def like chansey/umbreon/snorlax or blissey(or even both)

a very speedy pokemon like greninja,starmie,jolteon or other.

a pokemon that buffs def and spdef.(clefable/slowbro/slowking)

or fairy type that have alot def hp spatk->Togekiss

 

this was my team i got difficulty at 2 npcs that already said and cyntia metal metwo.

yep all npc are random, according to skuid (mapper), he said you can get a kyogre mount or re-roll ticket ( you need to have luck) after defeating cynthia and receiving the same reward

Do you know which mons showed up with which others? I have a hypothesis that some mons appear together or with certain order?

Huge thanks for some of the information you provided, it seems more likely with each post that there is some predictions about what mons will appear in certain orders and combinations like palkia and dialga for you and reshiram and zekrom for me, but also very strange you saw two megas when I only saw one? Hi there,

Great thanks to make the guide!!!

But i think the npcs r random as i got roark in 8th position and falkner in 9th position.

1. Roark's team was ( Rampardos, Excadrill, Aggron, Mega-Tyranitar, Steelix, Cradily all lvl 120)

2. Falkner s team was ( Staraptor, Gliscor, Mega-Aerodactyl, Unfeazant, Swellow, Togekiss)

But i guess more bosses r there maybe in the 8th nd 9th spot gym leaders will be there and in the 10th place any professor can be there so i don't think only those bosses r there.

Also Cynthia's slarmory has ( stealth rock)

Yeah the last thing is tht i got the mega gengar npc at 7th.
