Hello!

A rare candy isnt a evolutionary item. That is, if you feed a Pokémon a rare candy, it wouldnt evolve it, instead it would increase a level. For example, if your Pokemon was level 6, it will be level 7 when fed a rare candy.

Can you please mention which Pokemon you are trying to evolve? So that, I may help you.
