There's supposed to be no more fossil breaking at that point.......I am not sure, but it seems some fossils need to be MS to not be smashed, or there is a chance to smash fossil when you are not MS. I just look in old guides, no information about it; just in comments some players with more than 7500 discoveries without MS got some fossils smashed. I can't confirm myself, i remember in the past i smashed some fossils, but i don't remember how many discoveries i had.
