Good day @Ultraradiant I apologize for any issues this may have occurred and we are currently looking into it. In the meantime, do remember that the pickaxe is a tool that replaces the move Rock Smash. To keep from being unable to progress, you can use a Pokemon with the move Rock Smash for anything that would otherwise need the Pickaxe.
