Kiiroo started the auction at 04:00PM GMT +2. Endpoint of the auction is 07:00PM GMT+2. Jamesdxc bid came a few seconds late, since James bidded at 07:00 PM GMT +2. Any bid made after 06:59:59 PM GMT+2 is not valid. For these reasons, I will delete my previous message to avoid any confusion and force the trade with Kiiroo. So, if that's the case, I'd have to fight tooth and nail to play, even if it's in the middle of the night and I have to stay up all night to play? If the server goes down during a time when I could be playing, that's even more unfair, right? Wouldn't it be great if the server went down while you slept? If you're in a more advantageous time zone than others, then whatever you say is right, isn't it?

And that’s exactly the point — “it’s always been like this” doesn’t mean it can’t be improved. You missed it because you went to sleep earlier. A lot of other players miss it because of work, school, sleep schedules, or timezone differences. That’s why the suggestion was made in the first place.
