Here's all the benefits of membership : It will be longer to level up and gather money but members too need to farm a lot so no you can do the game without it but member status gives you a lot of really good advantages (the mount quest is now open for both member and non member)

There is no way that i know, you have to catch them all and evolve them all i guess :p

For exemple evolving 2 rattatas will not count as 2 evolutions for your pokeedx but only 1. Also pokemons caught already evolved like metapod or kakuna don't count as evolved pokemons

Yes you can't create 2 accounts with the same name even if it's not registered. Check your spams / deleted mails (in case of a missclick). Otherwise keep on waiting and if it doesn't come create an new one on Gmail it should work

We can't refund items or money looses due to rollbacks, this is why we always warn before rebooting and ask players to logout so the server can save

Well my phone is running with 5.1.1 but i dont know if it's the same for tablet

Try to update your Android os, your Ram is enough to run the game
