from what i've seen before,it works with rare candy,but i really advise you not to do it. i've lvled alot of pokemon to lvl 100,and you should evolve it to the final form at lvl 99 and then use a rare candy to get to lvl 100. because sometimes,u get so used to press no everytime the evolution question pops up and u can make a mistake and end up with not fully evolved lvl 100 pokemon which is a shame for all time lost and waste if it was good poke with good iv's. so,act safe is all i can suggest. good luck friend :)

slakoth is kinda rare,it's luck base,so keep on trying and good luck friend. So, the route 1 that he mentioned is in kanto or johto? Slakoth is a johto pokemon, so can it appear in kanto? it's in kanto friend. also,you can find vigoroth in the trees in trainers valley,and it is pretty common there.

Route 38 is next to ecruteak. meaning i havent gotten there yet. I hope to complete the rest of johto within the next couple of days or so. I do need to do sevii too, but i didnt add the original trees there so that is why there wasnt many in the first place. thank you so much for all your hard work,it is much appreciated :) keep it up.
